Meet The Team - Emil Englert

So Emil, when and how did you join the WENZEL Group?

After my 3-year apprenticeship as a CAD designer, I decided to continue my school career and also graduated as a state-certified mechanical engineer after my Abitur. I then joined the WENZEL Group in November 2018 in sales and service as an employee in the retrofit and used machines department.

Super! How would you describe your daily tasks and activities?

My main task is sales and technical consulting for retrofits, used machines, various software options, automation solutions and related services. The active and worldwide support of partner agencies and subsidiaries also plays an important role in my day-to-day work.

In the role of Team Leader, I am responsible for the introduction of new service products as well as product upgrades and software opportunities. This includes pricing, marketing, support and budget planning for the respective service packages. Presenting these products at events, trade shows and to customers is also part of my responsibilities.

Okay, that's a lot of responsibility at such a young age! How and when were you promoted to team leader? And how was the response from your colleagues?

In April 2021, my boss at the time changed departments internally and I was given the opportunity to succeed him. After 6 months as deputy manager, I took over the Retrofit department completely.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank my colleagues, who were super cooperative during this change and made it easy for me right from the start. This super team and the internal spirit are the basis for success in the service department, which is motivated and enjoys its work even in difficult times.

Besides working in a motivated team, what do you particularly like about working at WENZEL?

What I like most about my work at WENZEL is the closeness to the people and the family atmosphere - that's really extraordinary for an international company with several hundred employees. It's not for nothing that we refer to ourselves as a "WENZEL family".
