Implants and prostheses pose many challenges to metrology, because their place of use in the human body leaves no room for error. Even the smallest deviations in dimensional accuracy can have serious consequences for the wearer. For this reason, extremely precise quality control of the components is irreplaceable. Many components have special recumbents that make tactile measurement impossible.

WENZEL therefore offers with the CORE S a measuring machine that is able to measure highly polished parts, such as artificial knee joints, without surface pretreatment and with extremely high accuracy without contact.

With the WM | RS-C the surface structure of implants and prostheses can be checked in the nano range. Even highly polished components are no problem for the flat measuring white light interferometer.
