Motorised rotary/swivel heads allow automated, repeatable probe positioning for excellent accessibility of features to be measured on all workpiece surfaces; this increases the performance of the CMM and maximises measurement throughput.
Motorised, indexable rotary/swivel heads can position the probe at one of 720 positions. This enables measurement at a wide variety of angles. Due to the repeatability of the probe head, these positions can be recalled without the need for recalibration, saving the user time and guiding the probe at the ideal angle to the surface being measured for highly accurate results.
Motorised rotary/swivel heads (PHS) allow almost unlimited angular positioning and are ideal for horizontal arm CMMs.
