At the weekend the International Eventing Tournament Alpencup took place at the Main and County Stud Schwaiganger in the classes CCI3*-S and CCI2*-S. Eventing is an all-around competition in equestrian sports, which consists of the three sub-tests dressage, cross-country and jumping. The Bavarian Eventing Championships were also held as part of these competitions. Nina Schultes from Wenzels Lohrbachhof in Neuhütten, won the CCI3* competition with her horse Grand Prix Iwest and thus became Bavarian Eventing Champion again after 2021.
With the victory in the CCI3* ranking and the renewed Bavarian championship title, the duo Nina Schultes celebrated with Grand Prix Iwest the biggest joint success so far. They started with a great dressage result and the 3rd place in the overall ranking. Only the Olympic Champion and German Champion Michael Jung and his two horses placed higher. In the jumping Nina Schultes was able to make up another place and started as 2nd in the final cross-country test, where she was able to advance to 1st place with a great ride. Nina Schultes was also able to convince with her 2nd horse Zappelphilipp and landed on a great 6th place.
