The Chamber of Skilled Crafts for Lower Franconia honored Antonio Adlon from WENZEL in Würzburg as the 2023 Chamber Winner in the German Skilled Crafts Championship. He is a precision mechanic specializing in mechanical engineering. The honor was bestowed at a graduation ceremony on September 29, 2023. The graduation ceremony also focused on the training companies where the winners completed their training and played a major role in the success of the young talent. WENZEL warmly congratulates Antonio Adlon on this outstanding success and thanks training manager Martin Utmelleki.
Depending on the trade, the up-and-coming craftsmen had prevailed in the Chamber's competition for the German Craftsmanship Championship by comparing the results of their final and journeyman's examinations, in practical work samples or in the evaluation of their journeyman's piece. On the way to this success, they were accompanied by dedicated trainers, whom Chamber of Crafts President Michael Bissert also focused on. As an award and in recognition of their success in the German Craftsmanship Championship, winners and training companies each received a certificate of honor.
German Skilled Crafts Championship
Every year, graduates from around 130 different skilled crafts professions compete in the German Skilled Crafts Championship. The competition has been in existence since 1951 and is held at various levels. The winners at the chamber level qualify for the competitions at the state level, where the best young craftsmen and women in Bavaria are determined. The German Skilled Crafts Championship highlights the quality of training in the skilled crafts and the dual training system in Germany.
