What makes a WENZEL coordinate measuring machine?

‍Atthe huge CIMT trade fair in China, many suppliers and, of course, we from WENZEL will be exhibiting coordinate measuring machines. In addition to the well-known market players from Europe, there are also many small Chinese manufacturers at the start. For companies that need such machines, but also for us as a German manufacturer with 50 years of experience, the question of the difference naturally arises.

We would like to outline five key arguments that are important to us at WENZEL :

   We are convinced that quality is not simply a matter of buying individual components and screwing them together. This is why we have a very high level of vertical integration at WENZEL and why precision begins with the careful processing of our granite stones. Every inaccuracy by which we straighten ("lap") the granite does not have to be determined and corrected later by complex compensations.

   At WENZEL , we believe in the quality of our skilled workers. We train our employees intensively and rely on a long-term partnership so that the expertise we acquire is reflected in our machines. We are convinced that only excellently trained employees with a high level of understanding of the overall machine can also develop and manufacture the individual parts to a high standard.

For us at Wenzel , the production of a high-precision coordinate measuring machine begins with a passion for good craftsmanship. The materials used must be selected carefully and on the basis of the desired quality, not the highest possible profit for the supplier. This is our tradition and we are convinced that there are no better quality machines on the market.

Five arguments and no buzzwords such as software, automation or Industry 4.0 among them? Where's the innovation in that? We at Wenzel are currently investing a great deal in these topics and are convinced that this investment will provide our customers with great added value now and in the future. The integration of optical sensors into our software family, the development of tools for predictive maintenance, the standardization of our automation interfaces: these are all important components of our solutions, but they are not decisive for the basis - a good measuring machine!
